We all know that so far 2016 has been a hard year for all of us in our industry. The terrorism threats, economic difficulties and the fluctuation of exchange rates seem to have been reasons for this years mounting struggles. One of the countries that has been effected the most is Turkey. Recently, there have been incidents in Turkey that have made many people from our industry concerned to travel to Turkey. However, the safety and security in Turkey has increased in collaboration with other European countries and USA. We believe as International Educators that we are the pioneers of the education industry; and that we should always be traveling to recruit new students for our industry to promote a safer, happier and better educated world.
Young people around the world need more options to study abroad now more than ever and one thing is for sure, Turkey’s young people are a big part of the international society. They understand the importance of an international education and international values. We at IEFT are very happy to carry on assisting Turkish youths to realize their dreams of studying abroad. Therefore we advice all of our international education partners and universities to carry on supporting the Turkish student market.
Although there have been some political and security issues that have occurred recently, the Turkish economy is doing well and the Turkish Lira is still relatively strong against the GBP, USD, Euro, CAD and AUD. Affordable exchange rates and a relatively strong economy help Turkish students to realize their dreams of studying abroad. The demand for International Education is very strong in Turkey’s big cities; such as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Bursa. Here is the data for Turkish students studying now around the world.
